The Cocktail Guru Jonathan Pogash joined WPRI-TV’s “The Rhode Show” for a May 20 broadcast mixing Memorial Day cocktails. The two offerings included the Beer Garden Spritz, made with 2 oz. Ramazzotti Aperitivo Rosato, 1 oz. optional spike of flavored vodka, 2 oz. lager beer, 2 oz. Prosecco, poured directly into a tall pilsner or other beer mug, and ice and stirred briefly with fresh herbs and a grapefruit slice garnish. The timely named Distant Friends is made pre-batched in a large container of 1 part white wine of choice, such as Chardonnay; 1 part Real McCoy Rum; 1 part Marie Brizard Crème de Cassis; 1 part juice of choice, such as pear nectar; and 1 part sparkling wine of choice, such as Ruffino Prosecco, added directly into a jar or other container with ice, stirred briefly and garnished with lime and lemon wheels.
