FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEdcpsealnew

From the Office of John J. Suchy

Division Director of Liquor Control

Re:  UNIMERC Number No Longer Required for Brand Registration

Effective immediately, the department will no longer require the practice of requiring wholesalers/manufacturers/shippers to obtain a UNIMERC number from DISCUS as part of the brand/label registration protocol.

We believe that this will expedite the process by which brands can be registered and come into the marketplace.

John J. Suchy, Director of the Liquor Control Division
