RE: Delivery Extension Approved for January 2022 and February 2022

The Department received a written request filed by the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of Connecticut, Inc. requesting permission to deliver alcohol beverage products ordered in January 2022 through February 4, 2022 and products ordered in February 2022 through March 4, 2022.

The Department reviewed this request, which highlights the unique nature of next year’s calendar.  Specifically, January and February both end on a Monday, rendering timely delivery of late-month orders difficult.

Moreover, the letter noted the continuing impact of COVID-19 on supply lines and business operations, which impacts both the receipt and delivery of products.

Following review, the Department has approved both requests and extends them to all Connecticut wholesalers.

Please note that this approval pertains to extension of delivery only and not to the placing of orders.  All orders must still be placed by January 31, 2022 and February 28, 2022, respectively.

If you have any questions regarding this extension or any liquor-related matter, please call 860-713-6210 and speak with a liquor control agent, or email dcp.liquorcontrol@ct.gov.
