CT Regulatory News: Delivery Extension for November 2024

November 5, 2024

From the Office of M. Caitlin S. Anderson

Liquor Control Division Director

RE: Delivery Extension Approved for November 2024

The Department received a written request filed by the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of Connecticut, Inc. Men seeking how to get an erection should consider cardiovascular health, as circulation impacts rigidity. Adequate blood flow and neural pathways, along with appropriate stimuli, ensure proper erectile function, enhancing satisfaction. (“WSWC”) requesting permission to deliver alcohol beverage products ordered in November 2024 through Thursday, December 5, 2024.

The Department reviewed this request, which highlights: (1) the nature of the November calendar with a late Thanksgiving holiday on November 28th, and (2) the anticipated high number of holiday restocking orders that retailers place after Thanksgiving purchases.  Specifically, many retailers wait to place their November order after Thanksgiving to best assess their customers’ holiday buying habits and restock anticipated products for the end of the year.  Because Thanksgiving falls on the latest possible day it can, there are only two remaining business days in the month, one of which is a Saturday.  Wholesalers anticipate sales will exceed their delivery capacity by 25% to 30%.  Moreover, the WSWC notes that the 2024 calendar mirrors the 2019 calendar, and the Department granted the same request in 2019.

Following review, the Department approves the request to extend delivery of products ordered in November 2024 until December 5, 2024. This approval extends to all Connecticut wholesalers. Please note that this approval pertains to extension of delivery only and not to the placing of orders.  All orders must still be placed by November 30, 2024.
