Renée Allen, owner of the Wine Institute of New England, and a French Wine Scholar (FWS), will be offering the FWS Study and Certification Program for the first time in Connecticut. The inaugural class begins on February 21, 2015. Developed and administered by the French Wine Society, with the support of the French Ministry of Agriculture, the French Wine Scholar program is a U.S. wine industry-endorsed and Wines of France-endorsed certification program. It was developed by the French Wine Society to provide current, accurate information on the wine regions of France and validate proficiency in the wines of France. Students of wine who follow this in-depth curriculum and pass the exam will earn the French Wine Scholar (FWS) post-nominal. Visit www.wineinstituteofnewengland.com to register.
