
The Liquor Pricing Task Force final report to the General Assembly report is posted and available to read. The Task Force has until Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 to add their personal statements as an addendum, also to be made public.
BACKGROUND: Per: Public Act 12-17 (§14), An Act Concerning Competitive Alcoholic Liquor Pricing and Hours of Operation for Permittees, established a task force to examine, review, analyze, and compare Connecticut’s alcoholic liquor taxes, quantity and volume discounts, existing liquor permit restrictions, and minimum pricing and price posting laws with those in surrounding states. It also required the task force to examine the impact of these issues on Connecticut’s consumers and alcohol industry.
