Nearly 100 employees from the Diageo North America Headquarters in Norwalk took part in an environmental cleanup at Mill River Park in Stamford on Earth Day 2015. Employees took on projects like river cleanup and restoration of the walking path, revitalizing the meadow area and creating a “rain garden” that helps the flow of rain water through the park’s grounds before flowing into the river. Employees also volunteered with gardening and playground cleanup. “This year we chose to help beautify Mill River Park because its mission to connect people with nature aligns with one of Diageo’s core focus areas, reducing our environmental impact and preserving the world around us,” said Namita Subramanian, Vice President, Finance, Diageo-Guinness USA.
