Employees from Diageo North America’s Connecticut headquarters, as well as from the company’s offices in Kentucky, Illinois, New York and Canada, participated in many different volunteer and fundraising efforts during the 2015 holiday season. In Connecticut, Diageo employees took part in the Diageo 100, a holiday party for local children hosted by 100 employees. Diageo staff also donated their time at the Open Door Shelter in Norwalk to help families at risk, and hosted a coat drive and “pop-up toy store” with local charity Person-to-Person. Employees volunteered at “Adopt a Family program” through the Salvation Army in Norwalk, plus Toys for Tots, and the Bridgeport Rescue Mission. Finance and marketing employees at Diageo headquarters in Connecticut volunteered with Stop Hunger Now and packaged about 10,500 meals that were shipped around the world to feed school children, orphanages and those in need of crisis relief.
