Newly opened Diego’s East Side in Providence, sister restaurant of Newport’s Diego’s and Middletown’s Diego’s Barrio Cantina, celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a bevy of brands at its Wayland Square location. With a street closure and safely spaced tables for a COVID-19 Cinco de Mayo Block Party, guests enjoyed tacos and four varieties of margaritas, as well as branded gear giveaways, all served under the team headed by General Manager and Co-Beverage Director Alyssa Fenner. Lunazul, Casamigos and La Brecha were showcased tequilas. Beer event sponsors included Constellation Brands imports Corona, Pacifico and Modelo. A local selection, Mexican Lager by Rejects Beer Co., a new brewery in Middletown next to Diego’s Barrio Cantina, rounded out the themed offerings. Also featured were cocktails to-go for those just stopping by in Diego’s branded packaging.
