Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), hosted a bartending competition featuring Hendrick’s Gin at Foxwoods Resort Casino’s Shrine on June 6. Seven local bartenders competed in the Golden Sombrero competition, using Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin or Flora Adora Gin to make their best craft cocktails for the judges’ panel: Anthony DeSerio, Dr. Booze CT; Stacey Pabst, Trade Development Manager, CDI; and John Broderick, Region Director, William Grant & Sons. The winners were Nichole Young, Adam T. Young Confections; Stacy Dupree, Tom’s Watch Bar; and Katelyn Chaney, Trattoria Amalfi. Launched in spring 2023, Hendrick’s Flora Adora Gin offers lush green and sweet floral characteristics, lengthening the juniper and coriander backbone of Hendrick’s. Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin is inspired by the Scottish coastline, combining Hendrick’s signature base gin and an additional blend of locally sourced seaside botanicals, fresh coastal herbs with a crisp, citrus finish from sea kelp, coastal thyme and lime.
