On March 20, 2013, Geno Auriemma held an unveiling, tasting and reception featuring his Italian Wine Collection. The event was held, naturally, at his Geno’s Pub and Fast Break at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. The wines tasted were a Prosecco DOC, 2012 Pinot Grigio, 2010 Puglia Rosso, and 2008 Cabernet/Merlot and are part of a new collection, his newest business venture. The 28-year career coach, whose winning style has brought further fame to UCONN and women’s basketball, offers as much passion for his wine as his sport. The Italian wines are made by 47 Anno Domani and distributed by New England Wine & Spirits, Inc.
