Giusto in Newport, in collaboration with Wine Wizards, showcased Italian imports from Paolo Bea on Dec. 15. Located within the Hammetts Hotel, the intimate multicourse meal featured cuisine prepared by Chef and Owner Kevin O’Donnell and his team, each paired with a different wine by Paolo Bea. Wine Wizards’ Christin Aarons was in attendance to discuss selections with guests. Situated in Montefalco, a hill town in Umbria, Paolo Bea is a small estate and a classic Italian fattoria, which produces wine while raising livestock and growing select crops such as olives, fruits and vegetables. Five hectares of its 15-hectare property are dedicated to its organic vineyards, which include Sagrantino, Sangiovese and Montepulciano grape varietals.
