Worldwide Wines, in collaboration with Terlato Wine Group, featured the Grappa Nonino product line at a tasting and luncheon at Luce in Hamden on March 11. Francesca Bardelli Nonino of Italy’s Nonino distilling family, led an education and tasting of the product line, which includes Grappa Nonino Vendemmia, Vendemmia Riserva, Nonino Grappa Prosecco, Merlot di Nonino Grappa, Picolit Cru The Legendary Grappa Nonino, Il Moscato di Grappa and Amaro. Originating in 1897, the Nonino family’s distillation methods have been passed down through the generations. The first Nonino distillery was founded by Orazio Nonino in Ronchi di Percoto in 1973, in the Friuli region in northeastern Italy.
