The Malted Barley in Providence hosted a tap takeover featuring beer selections from Worcester, Massachusetts-based Greater Good Imperial Brewing Company on Nov. 19. Greater Good craft brews flowed from three tap lines at the Malted Barley, along with tastes from a mini-keg. Guests enjoyed Greater Good Gingerbread Ale, an imperial ale with cinnamon, ginger and molasses; Greater Good Pulp Daddy, a New England IPA and Greater Good Helena, an imperial German ale brewed with cherries. The brand was founded by Paul Wengender, who began homebrewing in 2006 with a mission to create “high-octane yet smooth-drinking IPAs, porters, stouts and ales” without the “boozy burn,” with the brewery opening in January 2015. Greater Good Imperial Brewing beers are distributed in the state by Horizon Beverage Co. – Copley division.
