Industrious Spirit Company (ISCO) now offers its distilled spirits through Horizon Beverage Co. – Copley division. Offering handcrafted, sustainably sourced spirits, ISCO is the first distillery in Providence since Prohibition. Its award-winning vodka and gin are uniquely handcrafted on the site of a former industrial mill complex just a mile from downtown Providence. Their Structural Vodka is made with regionally grown, organic, non-GMO corn, milled to their specifications and distilled in small batches, which are combined for a further round of distillation then charcoal-filtered at least 20 times for an even cleaner, crisper experience. It has a creamy mouthfeel and a smooth, lingering finish, and can be enjoyed sipped neat, on the rocks or in cocktails. Their Ornamental Gin was named in homage to the ornamental steel that was made on the distillery’s site. The gin is made from scratch using a base of 100% non-GMO organic corn, flavored with juniper and a special mix of 15 additional botanicals on top, including elderflowers, passionflower, lots of citrus and hops. After a slow and careful distillation, the liquid is left to rest for a month to let the flavors meld. Slowly proofed down to 40% ABV over a period of weeks, the gin is gently filtered before bottling, working well in cocktails or on the rocks with a twist.
