Glastonbury, Conn.-based Sipping Spirits, LLC ‘s Hotel California Tequila announced two recent accolades for it artisanal tequilas.  In the 2013 San Francisco World Spirits competition, Hotel California Reposado won a Gold Medal for its quality, smoothness and taste. In previous year’s participation, Hotel California won Double Gold and Hotel California Anejo won Gold at the annual competition. In April 2013, the first Great Tequila Shootout and Cocktail Festival was held in Houston, Texas. Over 28 tequila producers participated with over 100 tequilas were tasted and judged by 1,500 consumers. Hotel California Tequila won the Best Overall Tequila at the event.
