Illva Saronno Founds Own Import Company for 2014

Illva Saronno announced the imminent founding of its own import company in the US, under the name Illva Saronno USA ILLVA SARONNO HOLDING S.P.A. LOGOCorporation to be headquartered in New Jersey. The new company will handle the sales and marketing of DIsaronno in the U.S. as of January 1, 2014, following the natural expiration of the contractual relationship with current importer Bacardi U.S.A., Inc. on December 31, 2013.

This operation is in addition to other global initiatives already undertaken by Illva Saronno Holding Corp., The operation will include the hiring of sales, marketing, operational and finance personnel and managed by Brett Dunne who is set to become the Executive Vice President, after more than 20 years with Southern Wine and Spirits.

In addition to maintaining existing regional distributors, the change will only involve the Disaronno brand, while the Tia Maria brand, acquired in 2009 from Pernod Ricard, will continue to be imported in the U.S. by Kobrand. The current importers in the USA for Corvo, Duca di Salaparuta and Florio wines will also be retained.
