Wines For Dummies, a new line of wines named after the world’s bestselling For Dummies reference book series, is being introduced with four wines from two of the world’s most renowned wine producing areas: California and Italy. The California selections consist of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, while the wines from Italy are Pinot Grigio and Chianti. The new line, available mid-October, is sold in 750 ml format for a suggested retail price of $11.99. Wines For Dummies caters to the beginner and novice wine-drinker, developed to make wine experiences easier. Each wine in the line is carefully sourced to reflect its appellation and the labels include phonetic spellings of the grape varietals, easy-to-understand descriptions, and simple food pairings all meant to take the intimidation factor out of the process.
