The Industrious Spirit Company (ISCO) is releasing its third spirit to restaurants and liquor stores on Oct. 28: Patina, a barrel-aged gin. To create the unique spirit, ISCO repurposes the charred oak barrels initially used to age its Blue Velvet Bourbon to age its Ornamental Gin, which embodies the company’s commitment to reusability and revitalization. The oak imparts flavors of sweet vanilla and caramel to the gin, creating complex layers that float in the mouth. ISCO produces its sustainably sourced vodka, gins and bourbons at Providence’s first distillery since Prohibition, making everything completely from scratch onsite. Located on the site of a former industrial mill complex just a mile from downtown Providence, the tasting room is open for visitors. Distributed in Rhode Island by Horizon Beverage Co.
