Longtime Industry Writer and Consultant Passes Away

Jack Robertiello, wine and spirits writer, book author, consultant, expert, tasting judge and longtime contributor to the Beverage Media Group publications network, among many trade and consumer titles, passed away at age 70 on Oct. 22, 2021, in Manhattan. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Andrea Mohin, sister Eileen R. Caito and four nieces and nephews. Born in Princeton, New Jersey, he lived in Brooklyn and Putnam County, New York, crafting a prolific writing career within the alcohol beverage industry, contributing to and editing titles such as Food Network, Metropolitan Home, New York Daily News, Washington Post, Beverage Dynamics, Cheers, Santé, Nightclub & Bar and Nation’s Restaurant News; he was a contributor to Beverage Media publications for 18 years and to SevenFifty Daily for two years. A frequent speaker at conferences and meetings, Robertiello gave private classes and seminars on tasting spirits, judged at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, as well as advising distillers, importers, marketers and publicists, among his industry contributions.
