Maker’s Mark Featured At Providence Food Truck Bash

At the Providence Rink on October 27, 2013, Maker’s Mark was a featured ingredient during the Food Truck Bash. Food trucks from Providence, Boston and New York City presented and competed in street food categories comprised of three rounds, including a Maker’s Mark round, where trucks showcased specialty dishes infused with Maker’s Mark Bourbon. Judges included Meaghan Mooney of WPRI’s ‘The Rhode Show”, Jamie Coelho of Rhode Island Monthly, David Dadekian of Eat Drink RI, Shawna Lawton from Whole Foods Market Waterman Street and Amy McCoy, author of Poor Girl Gourmet. Nine trucks competed in the event.

Wafels & Dinges from NYC won the "Best of Maker’s Mark Bourbon" category with ‘De Bourbon Whip’ – Maker’s Mark Bourbon Spicy Salty Caramelized Walnuts, Bourbon-Infused Maple Syrup, and Bourbon-Infused Whipped Cream on a Liege Waffle. Six trucks competed in the category, including Radish and Portu-Galo, both from Providence.
