YaVe Tequila launched in Rhode Island with Mancini Beverage – Northeast Wines division. Founded by Harlem, New York, native Joe Cruz Jr., the tequila was launched after Cruz spent his early career marketing and selling other alcohol brands across the three tiers. Calling it YaVe, to “unlock possibility,” its name (yah-veh) is the phonetic spelling of “llave,” the Spanish word for “key.” The award-winning range is built upon its Tequila Blanco, which balances the distinct flavors of agave from two locations in Jalisco, Mexico – Highland agave for sweet and floral notes and Lowland for a subtle peppery depth – made with volcanic water and proprietary yeast. The team expanded the range with flavored tequilas containing 100% natural ingredients: YaVe Tequila Mango and YaVe Tequila Jalapeño. “As a Rhode Island native and having attended college and lived in Massachusetts for many years, launching in New England hit home to me. The reception by our retail customers as well as consumers has been extremely positive.
