Mancini Beverage celebrated the Rhode Island launch of Lalo Tequila at a tequila-pairing dinner hosted at Perro Salado in Newport on July 12. Eduardo “Lalo” González, grandson of famous tequila founder Don Julio González, presented his namesake brand to the wholesale team and trade guests, along with the management team. Guests enjoyed guacamole with chips and salsa, avocado fries and sticky pork ribs to start and then adobo mushroom, lobster, steak and Korean BBQ duck tacos, followed by wild local bass pan-seared and served family style with rice and beans. Attendees paired food with four signature event cocktails featuring Lalo Tequila. Lalo Tequila holds the distinction of being verified additive-free and is made with three ingredients: Highland agave, Champagne yeast and deep well water, distilled only twice to maintain the integrity of agave. Lalo continues the legacy of his father and grandfather with a new approach to perfecting Blanco tequila.
