Brescome Barton welcomed premium wines of Melipal, an Argentinian family-owned and -run winery located 20 minutes from Mendoza in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo. At 958 meters above sea level, the winery produces primarily Malbec, but also Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Founded in 2002 by the Aristi family, Melipal wines are crafted by Winemaker Martin Tosolini with Consultant Luis Barraud. The facility’s contemporary architecture is surrounded by 87 hectares of vineyards and Melipal opens its doors to tourism for private tastings among views of the Andes. It has 800,000 liters of capacity among stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels, with wines ranging from unoaked young wine to the premium and ultra-complex wines, elegant, structured and aged in barrels.
