Molson Coors Beverage Company announced a renewed $1.5 million contribution to organizations supporting Black, Indigenous and people of color communities; fighting racial inequality; and driving social change in the United States and Canada. The donations follow an equal contribution in 2020, bringing its cumulative gift to $3 million. Molson Coors said it acted last year as the negative, inequitable impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to eliminate systemic racism in North America became emergent issues, collecting input from employees for its community investment strategy in order to best direct efforts. Molson Coors also evolved its environmental, social and governance strategy to emphasize a “renewed focus on people and planet.” The multiyear investment is a first step following its commitment with efforts including strengthening the company’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion; setting new representation goals; and enhancing employee resources and its Tenth & Blake’s Brewing Education Scholarship Fund.
