MS Walker Brands has announced the nationwide expansion of the premium Grand Mayan Tequila line with the introduction of two new super premium additions to its portfolio: Grand Mayan Extra Aged and Grand Mayan 5 Year Ultra Aged Limited Edition, now available in Rhode Island. With the tagline of “Very Special Tequila,” the two new expressions join Grand Mayan Silver and Grand Mayan Reposado tequilas, growing the brand’s line of premium tequilas. Each expression is produced from 100% Blue Weber Agave that is slow cooked in traditional brick and stone ovens and slowly distilled twice in copper pot stills. Grand Mayan Extra Aged is then rested in American ex Bourbon and French ex Cognac barrels for up to 5 years. Grand Mayan 5 Year Ultra Aged Limited Edition is rested in ex Bourbon and ex Cognac casks for a minimum of 5 years and comes in a luxurious, handcrafted gift box. Grand Mayan’s portfolio of premium, 100% Blue Weber agave tequilas are presented in handmade Talavera bottles crafted by local Mexican artisans, packaged with the same care as the high-quality spirit contained inside. A painstaking process, each clay bottle is baked for more than eight hours, individually numbered, and painted by hand.
