Narragansett Beer Releases Innsmouth Olde Ale

image004Providence’s Narragansett Beer announced the release of Innsmouth Olde Ale, an English-style Olde Ale that serves as the second chapter in the Lovecraft Series, which pays tribute to famed horror author, H.P. Lovecraft, also of Providence. The ale is Narragansett’s interpretation of the select stock ales served at taverns and roadside inns found in both Olde England and Olde New England, as a reference to the inn that the unnamed protagonist visits in Lovecraft’s story, “The Shadow Over Innsmouth.” Brewed under the supervision of Sean Larkin, Head Brewmaster for Narragansett and owner of Revival Brewing, Innsmouth Olde Ale is made with a combination of Two-Row Pale, Crystal, Cara, Dark Munich and Chocolate malts, Chocolate rye and a finishing touch of Summit and East Kent Goldings hop. Narragansett’s Innsmouth Olde Ale is 7 percent Alcohol By Volume and 35 IBUs (International Bitterness Units) and will be become available in its markets beginning April 20, 2015.
