Opici Family Distributing of Connecticut added new domestic and imported offerings this fall. First, from Jackson Morgan Southern Cream, are three new flavors for holiday sipping and mixing: Peppermint Mocha, Whipped Orange Cream and Spiced Pumpkin Roll. The Tennessee whiskey-based cream spirit has extended beyond its popular Salted Caramel and Banana Pudding Cream flavors to new seasonal spirits. Second is local brand Badger Bevs, Ridgefield-based makers of mixer club soda, tonic water and ginger beer. Founded by David Vogel in 2022, the brand offers discerning palates Badger Bevs’ Tonic Water, Club Soda and Ginger Beer, which are designed to be mixed with favorite top-shelf spirits but can also be enjoyed on their own. Third, from South Africa comes Protea wines. Anthonij Rupert Wyne released the range adorned with distinctive new packaging by Mark Eisen, a world-renowned fashion designer born in South Africa. The range bears the name of South Africa’s national flower. Each label is printed with heavy metal-free ink, making the bottle 100% recyclable. Protea’s available in Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
