The annual Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) Conference hosted two days of programing at the InterContinental at The Wharf in Washington, D.C.  on Sept. 21-22.More than 60 women from WSWA member companies across the country attended the leadership development event with a focus on building a personal brand and elevating women across the wholesale tier. Educational sessions throughout the conference focused on equipping attendees with advice to help propel their careers, build their personal brands and empower themselves in their roles within the industry, along with networking opportunities. WLC supports a local charity annually, with this year’s event benefiting Active Minds, a D.C.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting mental health, especially among young adults, via peer-to-peer dialogue and interaction.
