Team from Opici Family Distributing of Connecticut and Boisset Collection Wines celebrated the launch of 2021 vintages from Jean-Charles Boisset Collection (JCB) Champagnes and rosés. The luncheon hosted on July 15 at Shanks Waterfront Dining in Clinton created a showcase tasting and education event for the sales team featuring the family-owned collection of historic and unique wineries and its terroir-driven wines. On the roster was JCB No 44 2013 Vintage Premier Cru Champagne; JCB Caviar Blanc de Blancs Sparkling; 2021 JCB No 69 Côtes de Provence Rosé; 2021 Bouchard Aîné & Fils Pinot Noir Rosé; 2021 LVE by John Legend Provence Rosé; LVE by John Legend Sparkling Rosé; Fortant Chardonnay, Château Buena Vista Carneros Chardonnay and Jean-Claude Boisset Bourgogne Pinot Noir; DeLoach Russian River Valley Pinot Noir; and Durant & Booth Bourbon Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon. Boisset was born into the world of wine in the village of Vougeot, Burgundy, France, as he grew up above the cellars and within view of the centuries-old vineyards of Château du Clos de Vougeot, the birthplace of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Boisset leads the family firm with a commitment to quality and respect for the environment, pioneering organic and biodynamic farming at all of the family’s estate vineyards in Burgundy and California.
