The University Club of Providence hosted a wine-pairing dinner featuring the wines of Rombauer Vineyards on March 9. Hosted by special guest Andrew Holloway, Associate Winemaker, Rombauer Wines, the menu featured fine cuisine from Executive Chef Gary Comella paired with Rombauer wine selections chosen by The University Club’s Kate Miceli, Beverage Manager and Sommelier. Mandi Nash, Brand Representative, Rombauer Vineyards, and representatives from the brand’s distributor, MS Walker of RI, were also in attendance to present the wines to guests. Guests tasted Rombauer Vineyards Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carneros Chardonnay, Joy Late Harvest Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Since 1980, Rombauer Vineyards has produced award-winning wines, including its Carneros Chardonnay, Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley Merlot, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Diamond Selection Cabernet Sauvignon and Rombauer Zinfandel. In April 2022, Rombauer Vineyards acquired three additional premium vineyards totaling 154 vine acres in the California appellations of Carneros-Sonoma, Sonoma Valley and Fiddletown. The wines are available via MS Walker of Rhode Island.
