
The United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) New Haven chapter hosted a second state training event for potential contenders of the Diageo World Class bartending competition, this time at New Haven’s Elm City Social on January 7. Special guest William Codman, aka “English Bill,” National Program Specialist, Diageo Reserve Brands, walked bartenders and trade guests through the educational session, which included tips on creating winning cocktails and competition preparation. USBG World Class, sponsored by Diageo, is part of an internationally recognized competition that “elevates the craft of the bartender and builds careers,” culminating in an annual landmark week of competition where a Global Bartender of the Year is selected from finalists.
