Elm City Social in New Haven and Craft Beer Guild Distributing of Connecticut hosted a trade education and tasting of Prizefight Irish Whiskey on March 9. Prizefight National Sales Manager Brent Paquin led guests through the information session and tasting, while guests enjoyed cocktails featuring Prizefight Irish Whiskey and food prepared by the Elm City Social kitchen team. Prizefight is a collaborative Irish whiskey, distilled and aged in Ireland and finished in American rye casks. The result is a complex whiskey, a smooth and mellow spirit “that packs a punch but never burns.” Prizefight is a blend of 10-year-old malt and 4-year-old grain, distilled and aged in West Cork, Ireland, finished in rye barrels for six months at Tamworth Distilling in New Hampshire.
