The Rhode Island Hospitality Association (RIHA) recognized new and returning board members in a February 4 meeting. New members were voted in during RIHA’s annual Stars of the Industry gala event on December 4, 2019. New additions are: Chairman of the Board Christopher Tarro, Siena Restaurants; First Vice Chairman Farouk Rajab, Providence Marriott Downtown; Second Vice Chairman William Kitsilis, Angelo’s Palace Pizza and Antonio’s Pizza by the Slice; Secretary David Smiley, Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina; Treasurer Ellen Slattery, Gracie’s Ventures; and Immediate Past Chairman Burnell Goldman, Omni Providence Hotel. The newly appointed 2020 RIHA Board of Directors are: Jeffrey Day, First Bristol Corporation; Bill Dessel, KEEL Vodka; Charlie Holder, Midtown Oyster Bar and Surf Club Newport; and Jennifer Luxmoore, Sin Bakery.
