Patrón appointed David Rodriguez as Master Distiller following the retirement of Francisco Alcaraz in July. With more than 50 years’ experience, Alcaraz is the longest-standing distiller in the tequila industry. He spent over 30 years working for Patrón, and during his tenure, he helped to develop core and limited-edition tequilas, also serving as a Global Brand Ambassador. Rodriguez, who has been with Patrón’s Jalisco operations for 18 years working alongside Alcaraz, was previously Patrón’s Director General of Spirits Manufacturing Operations. Rodriguez said, “I am incredibly humbled to take on the role as master distiller and I offer Francisco our limitless gratitude for helping build this iconic brand and changing the tequila category forever.”
