New wines to Rhode Island from Weingut Josef Leitz, Domaine Denizot and J. Vignier Champagne, available via Best Beverage.

Best Beverage added several new selections from importer, Schatzi Wines, whose portfolio includes environmentally-conscience winemakers from Germany, Austria, France (Champagne, Burgundy and Beaujolais), Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland and Luxembourg. First, Weingut Josef Leitz, with a reputation of being one of Rheingau’s top growers and, moreover, one of the finest producers in Germany, is focused on Riesling. Leitz produces many different styles, including Eins Zwei Dry, an organic, dry Riesling, an off-dry Feinherb, their flagship Dragonstone Riesling, Kabinett and Spatlese bottlings, as well as multiple non-alcoholic offerings, both still and sparkling, under the Eins Zwei Zero label. French selections include Loire Valley’s Domaine Denizot Sancerre, small Champagne growers J. Vignier and Pascal Doquet, each producing fantastic blanc de blancs and Denis Meunier’s “Expresion de Silex” Vouvray Sec.
