By March 24, 2021Connecticut, Top News

New import Intipalka wine line from Peru includes Intipalka Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon/Petit Verdot 2019, Intipalka Malbec 2019, Intipalka Chardonnay 2020 and Intipalka Sauvignon Blanc 2020.

Slocum & Sons welcomed new Peruvian wine portfolio Intipalka Valle del Sol – which means “valley of the sun” in Quechua, the ancient, indigenous language of the region. One of the most modern producers in Peru, Intipalka Winery’s vineyards are in Ica, where the facility also hosts guests for winery tours and at its hotel. Malbec, Tannat, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay grapes are grown for its wide range of wines. New to Connecticut are Intipalka Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon/Petit Verdot 2019, a deep garnet red, soft but complex wine with ripe tannins; Intipalka Malbec 2019 with cherry and blueberry flavors with notes of licorice and leather; Intipalka Chardonnay 2020, an unoaked Chardonnay that is delicate with succulent tropical fruit flavors, creamy and balanced by natural acidity; and Intipalka Sauvignon Blanc 2020, a fresh and fruity wine without being sweet.
