Slocum & Sons Welcomes New Brands in September

By September 1, 2022Connecticut, Top News

Slocum & Sons added several new wine suppliers and styles. From Lawson’s Dry Hills label, a mid-size Marlborough, New Zealand, winery, comes Lawson’s Dry Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2021 and Lawson’s Dry Hills Pinot Noir 2019. Lawson’s Dry Hills is currently the only New Zealand wine producer to hold both ISO14001 (environmental management) and ISO14064 (carbon zero) accreditations. From Italy comes Riff Pinot Grigio 2021, a certified organic and vegan wine blended from select vineyards in the foothills of the northeastern Italian Alps. Made by an iconic wine producer of Alto Adige, Alois Lageder and his family have developed very close relationships with many of the other winegrowers of the province and beyond in order to craft the Riff line of wine. Choya Uji Green Tea Umeshu is a new product from a market leader of Ume wines. Choya Uji Green Tea Umeshu is infused with the highest quality Japanese green tea from the Uji region in Kyoto. Using a special cold-brewed-for-aroma method to bring out the best of the Uji tea without bitterness, the result is a blend of Uji green tea flavor and slightly sweet Umeshu.
