South Kingstown’s Sons of Liberty Beer & Spirits Co. launched Chair 2 Light Lager ahead of Memorial Day weekend. Available in 12-ounce six-packs, the 4.3% ABV light lager boasts just 95 calories and 2.5 grams of carbs per can. Named after the Chair 2 lifeguard chair on Narragansett Beach, the beer’s branding showcases a retro surf vibe. “We’re really excited about this style and flavor,” said Bryan Ricard, Marketing Director, Chair 2 Light Lager. “There are a lot of Rhode Islanders taking advantage of all the beautiful outdoors this state has to offer, whether it’s surfing, hiking, kayaking, cycling, paddleboarding, snowboarding, you name it. Chair 2 is a clean, refreshing beer for those who just want to be out there.” The beer is brewed and packaged at Isle Brewers Guild in Pawtucket. “It’s not something we currently have the capacity to brew and package in-house ourselves,” said Mike Reppucci, President and Founder, Sons of Liberty Beer & Spirits Co. “But it was important for us to keep this in Rhode Island and Isle has been an excellent partner.”
