Terlato Wines announced an exclusive agreement with Marco Abella to import the estate’s highly regarded portfolio of wines from the Priorat region of Spain. At their winery in the remote village of Porrera, the Marcos family makes small lots of wine from biodynamically farmed vineyards. Their blends combine the unique qualities of indigenous and international grape varieties grown in Priorat’s famed “llicorella” soils. Terlato also launched an Artisan Spirits portfolio with Langley’s No. 8 gin and Tigre Blanc vodka agreements. “The spirits business is evolving,” said Terlato Wines CEO William A. Terlato. “It’s starting to look a lot like the wine business, with mixologists, craft bartenders and consumers embracing a new category of small-production, hand-crafted, super-premium brands.”
