Elisa Wybraniec, Wine Director, The Coast Guard House, discussed winemaking techniques and aroma profiles during the venue’s “Wine Live” video on Aug. 17.

Narragansett’s The Coast Guard House debuted an outdoor educational livestream video series over the summer. Led by Wine Director Elisa Wybraniec, the “Wine Live” webcasts take viewers through fundamental principles of wine tasting and vintner processes and give viewers the opportunity to learn more about the nuances of winemaking and enjoying fine wine from near or far. In an August video, broadcast from the Coast Guard House’s new veranda, Wybraniec discussed aromas in a session called, “Do You Smell What I Smell?” highlighting how both winemaking and aging techniques impart some of the most common aromatic and flavor profiles, including butter, leather and vanilla, all while showcasing an array of available wine sold on-premise. The series is livestreamed weekly via the Coast Guard House’s social media channels featuring different topics and additional team members.
