Treasury Wine Estates Announces New Licensing Deal

By April 21, 2021Top News

Australia’s Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) licensed several brands to U.S.-based The Wine Group, approximately $100 million worth of its U.S. brands, as part of an ongoing overhaul of its American operations. The Wine Group, headquartered in California, owns more than 60 brands, including Franzia, Cupcake, Benziger, Concannon, Chloe and Imagery. Under the terms of the agreement set in March, The Wine Group will source and sell the “value brands” of Beringer Main & Vine, Beringer Founders’ Estate, Coastal Estates and Meridian brands in the Americas. TWE said The Wine Group will acquire existing inventories associated with these brands on a progressive drawdown basis and will assume responsibility for related future bulk wine supply contracts.
