The fifth annual Igor’s Dream dessert pairing event showcased a sneak preview of the 2020 Two Roads Brewing Company’s Igor’s Dream beer lineup at its Stratford-area Two Roads Area Two Experimental Brewing space on January 15. Four limited-edition brews with dessert pairings made by Chef Ryan Keelen offered tastes of Igor Dream’s beers: three 2020 varietals and the cellared 2014 Igor’s Dream Russian Imperial Stout aged in rye whiskey barrels. The beer honors the late Connecticut aviator Igor Sikorsky, founder of Sikorsky Aircrafts. The tasting, led by Master Brewer Phil Markowski, is part of Two Roads Brewing Company’s “Between the Barrels,” a series of concerts, presentations and events held on the production floor of Area Two.
- Guests enjoyed the vertical beer tasting of 2015 Igor’s Dream aged in Cognac barrels, 2015 Igor’s Dream aged in madeira barrels, 2017 Igor’s Dream aged in Armagnac barrels, 2017 Igor’s Dream aged in gin barrels and 2020 Igor’s Dream aged in rye whiskey barrels, led by Master Brewer Phil Markowski.
