Two Roads Brewing Raises Funds, Breaks Ground

By November 24, 2017Connecticut, Top News

Two Roads Brewing Co. of Stratford collaborated with Stratford Mayor John Harkins to raise $12,000 for Audubon Connecticut in October. Two Roads donated the proceeds raised through its annual “Shore 2 the Pour Beach Run,” then Mayor Harkins matched the amount with funds raised through his annual Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament. Additional donations were raised through a GoFundMe page. The funds benefitted Audubon Connecticut, which manages Stratford Point, a 22-acre natural site that is home to a wildlife sanctuary. The money raised will be used to improve the habitat at Stratford Point for wildlife and maintain the natural beauty of the site for visitors. Two Roads also broke ground on a new facility, to be called Area Two Experimental Brewing. The groundbreaking was presided over by the four co-founders CEO Brad Hittle, CCO Clement Pellani, Master Brewer Phil Markowski and CFO Peter Doering. Construction of the 25,000-square foot, $12 million facility should take about a year to complete.
