TWO ROADS TO EXPAND PRODUCTION CAPACITY

By July 5, 2014Connecticut, Top News

Two Roads Brewing Company of Stratford announced that it ordered additional fermenters and brew house vessels from Rolec GmbH to increase capacity to 176,000 barrels. Additional equipment in filtration, cooling and storage will result in a $2.4 million expansion, necessary to keep up with demand. “This investment is an indication of our commitment to provide timely production to our distributor customers as well as to our contract customers,” said CEO Brad Hittle. “Just as important, we continue to invest in top-of-the-line equipment from Rolec so we can deliver the highest quality beers.” The equipment is expected to be fully operational in April 2015. The brewery also released its newest year-round beer, a session IPA called Lil’ Heaven. Made with Azacca, Calypso, Equinox and Mosaic hops, this beer offers hop character and aroma at 4.8% ABV.
