Whalers Brewing Company of South Kingstown Founders and Head Brewers Josh Dunlap and Wes Staschke offered one free keg of Rise APA to each bar and restaurant in the state of Rhode Island in May as the state lifted COVID-19 restrictions.

Whalers Brewing Company of South Kingstown celebrated the reopening of Rhode Island businesses and the start of summer with a free keg giveaway in partnership with its distributor, Horizon Beverage Co. – Wayne division, in May. As restaurants and bars in the Ocean State geared up for a summer season free of COVID-19 restrictions, the brewery offered one free keg of its award-winning Rise American Pale Ale to every venue in the state. In a media statement, Whalers Brewing Founders and Head Brewers Josh Dunlap and Wes Staschke said, “Bars and restaurants across the state put us on the map, they helped take us from the smallest brewery in Rhode Island to the largest, and after a tough year for all Rhode Islanders, we figured, ‘What better way to say thank you and help ring in summer than free beer?’”
