
Now available in the Wine Bros. portfolio are selections from Diren Winery of Turkey and Turasan Winery of Cappadocia, a semi-arid region in central Turkey. Diren Winery is located in the northern part of Turkey and has been producing wines of Anatolia, from the Tokat region, for more than 50 years. The wines produced from rare, native grapes include 2015 Diren Karmena White, 2014 Diren Karmena Red Blend and 2014 Diren Öküzgözü. Available wines from Turasan Winery include 2015 Turasan Selda White, a white blend of Turkish varietals, 2014 Turasan Selda Red, a red blend of Turkish varietals, Turasan Emir, compared to a Pinot Grigio or Albarino; and 2015 Turasan Kalecik Karasi, compared to a Pinot Noir. Two Turkish reserve style wines, 2014 Yazgan Mahra Bogazkere and Okuzgozu, and a 2011 Selendi Artist Series Red Blend are also available.
- Diren Karmena Red Blend is made from Öküzgözü, Bogazkere, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot grapes.
- Diren Karmena White is a 100% Narince varietal.
- Diren Öküzgözü, an indigenous varietal of Turkey, is known for its little tannic structure and is dominated by red and black fruits.
- Turasan Selda white is made from 35% Emir, 30% Narince, 30% Misket and 5% Chardonnay, creating an aromatic, bright wine with full flavor.
- Turasan Emir is made with 100% Emir grapes. Emir is native to Cappadocia, Turkey. Emir is compared to a Pinot Grigio and Albarino.
- Turasan Selda Red is a dry wine produced from 50% Kalecik Karasi, 10% Öküzgözü, 20% Bogazkere and 20% Syrah.
- Turasan Kalecik Karasi is made from 100% Kalecik Karasi grapes. The Kalecik Karasi grape is compared to Pinot Noir.
- Yazgan Mahra is 65% Bogazkere and 35% Öküzgözü, a dry red blend with notes of dried fruits and black cherries.
- 2011 Selendi Artist Series Red Blend is a reserve selection made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes.
