Winebow Adds Field & Sound Bottled in Bond Bourbon

By March 31, 2022Connecticut, Top News

Long Island Spirits’ Field & Sound Bottled in Bond Bourbon is made with Long Island grains from 60% corn, 33% rye and 7% malted barley mash bill. Made in the North Fork of Long Island Sound, tasting notes describe a subtle salinity, winter rye spice with vanilla and caramel notes.

Winebow added Long Island Spirits’ Field & Sound Bottled in Bond Bourbon, new in distribution to Connecticut, among its launch states. Field & Sound Bottled in Bond Bourbon, limited to only 6,000 bottles, is made from a high rye mash, with most grain sourced within 10 miles of its North Fork location, milled, mashed and distilled on site. The sweet mash is then fermented using only fresh yeast. The whiskey is influenced by maturation on the Long Island Sound, making it a unique offering in its creation. “The release of Field & Sound marks a very important milestone for Long Island Spirits,” said Rich Stabile, Founder at Long Island Spirits. “Having just celebrated our 15th anniversary, Field & Sound is an incredible whiskey that draws its inspiration from Long Island’s unique terroir and maritime climate.” Long Island Spirits was established in 2007 as the first distillery on Long Island since the 1800’s and became the 100th Distillery in the United States of America. Long Island Spirits is housed in a twin-cupola barn that has been repurposed into a state-of-the-art craft distillery, with brands that include LiV Vodka, LiV Craft Canned Cocktails, Rough Rider and Pine Barrens whiskies.
