Newport’s Hotel Viking, in partnership with Woodford Reserve Bourbon, hosted a Kentucky Derby party on May 7. Guests wore their best while enjoying cocktails featuring Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey in the venue’s Thames Room, among Kentucky Derby-themed decor provided by Woodford Reserve Bourbon. As the presenting sponsor and official bourbon of the Kentucky Derby, Woodford Reserve also provided its special Kentucky Derby labeled bottles for the event, featuring the artwork of Kentucky native Jaime Corum. Titled “Dreams in Bloom,” Corum’s painting adorns the label, depicting three thoroughbreds racing neck-and-neck, surrounded by a spray of vivid spring flowers, including the iconic red roses of the Derby.
