Liquor Control Division Director
Online Applications Now Available
The Department of Consumer Protection (“Department”) is pleased to announce that online applications are available and live for all liquor permit types, effective October 23, 2023. This includes on-premises, off-premises, manufacturer, and wholesaler permits. Paper applications will be accepted through January 1, 2024. After that date, only online applications will be accepted.
Please note that local official signatures are still required for all applications. New forms have been created for applicants to obtain those signatures. The applications link to the new form, and our website has the forms in fillable PDF form. The form must be uploaded as part of the online application.
To learn more about online applications, including detailed instructions about how to create an eLicense account, how to access the application, and what types of forms and documents are required, please visit: https://portal.ct.gov/DCP/Liquor-Control-Division/Liquor-Permit-Applications-and-Forms.
Additionally, the Department continues to add new information pages about permits, many of which are already live and available. We have also created a permit selector quiz that guides you through all on- and off-premises permits to help you select the permit that best suits your needs. Please monitor our website for continued updates as we add more information for applicants and current permit holders.
If you have any questions about applying for a liquor permit, setting up an eLicense account, or navigating an online application, please contact the Liquor Control Division by email at DCP.LiquorControl@ct.gov.
